The Home Therapies Corporate Nurse Consultant will provide education and training to promote quality patient care, assist our dialysis facilities with improving financial outcomes and observe day to day operations to identify areas of improvement.

 

Schedule: Full-time, Travel between clinics is required.

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

 

Quality of Care:

  • Facilitates the improvement of clinical and financial outcomes in assigned clinics by helping to develop quality improvement plans based on regulations, policies, industry trends and needs.
  • Identifies alternative options/problem solving to improve outcomes.
  • Reviews monthly clinic reports to assist clinic in the improvement of outcomes that fall below corporate goals. 
  • Facilitates implementation of QAPI process and training on electronic QAPI.
  • Completes assessments of clinic home programs, develop plan for improvement and follow clinic progress toward resolution of the plan

Training/Education:

  • Participates in the development of educational tools for clinics to use to meet regulatory and academic needs
  • Prepare and conduct training classes at the corporate office as needed
  • Serves as mentor to clinic PD managers with particular emphasis on developing new managers

Communications:

  • Facilitates communication between managers of clinics and the corporate office
  • Communicates with clinic managers on a regular basis at all assigned facilities. 
  • Communicates well with clinics using email and conference calls and face to face visits.

Problem Solving:

  • Facilitates gathering of information and formulating plan for problem solving related to clinical/financial operations in the PD clinic which includes opening new programs and growing existing programs.
  • Facilitates unbiased assessment of all angles of problem before formulating solution.

Regulatory:  

  • Assist with enforcement of a core group of corporate mandated policy and procedures by educating the clinic on possible deficiencies. 
  • Serves as a resource to clinic on interpretation of Medicare and state regulations as well as other agencies.   

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Must have 5 years’ relevant experience in dialysis and home therapies
  • Management experience preferred  
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
