The Director of Supply is responsible for overseeing all aspects of DCI’s supply chain process for our 240 dialysis clinics across multiple states.  The Director of Supply will oversee the management of our inventory, procurement, logistics, as well as the distribution of our medical supplies and dialysis equipment. This individual will also work to optimize costs, improve overall efficiencies in our supply chain processes, and ensure a reliable supply is in place to ensure optimal care for our dialysis patients.

 

Schedule: Full-time, remote considered, travel to our corporate offices will be required quarterly on average

 

Compensation: Pay range depending experience

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

  • Manage the overall purchasing process, actively negotiate with vendors, and ensure timely delivery of our medical supplies
    • This includes managing the procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals used in dialysis treatment
  • Coordinate the shipping of supplies to all DCI’s clinics, ensuring efficient delivery to appropriate locations
    • This includes dialysis machines, dialyzers and other essential medical supplies
  • Participate in the management/purchasing of all RO water equipment for DCI facilities to ensure quality and competitive pricing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities to reduce supply costs, optimize purchasing practices, and manage expenses effectively
  • Stay current with possible new vendors/sources of products
  • Collaborate with Legal and CFO/President on all contracts to ensure terms are acceptable
  • Supervise and oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of DCI’s supply chain team
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to supply chain operations.
  • Monitor all FDA notices regarding recall or safety warnings and ensure Risk Management is notified. 
  • Manage all National Agreements, such as waste management, shredding, reusable gowns, and office supplies/copiers
  • Present to Medical Directors quarterly, providing key updates on supply agreements.

Qualifications

Education/ Training: 

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required
  • 5-7 years of relevant leadership and management experience in healthcare supply chain management is required
  • Experience in the dialysis field a plus, but not required
  • Strong leadership and management skills are required
  • Must have the ability to negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
  • Must have the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize supply chain operations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are needed for collaborating with various stakeholders, including clinicians, our Senior and Area Operations Directors, and vendors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) as well as data analysis tools. 
  • Knowledge of Workday a plus
