The Legal Assistant performs legal administrative duties for attorneys at our corporate office in Nashville. 

 

Schedule: Full-time, M-F

 

Compensation: Pay range starting at $22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

  • Utilizes a variety of sources such as statutes, legal articles, and legal codes to research and analyze legal topics.
  • Drafts and edits legal documents such as contracts.
  • Conducts fact-finding, data collection, and analysis to assist attorneys with tasks.
  • Manages, organizes, and archives documents with software tools and technology.
  • Performs secretarial duties that require knowledge of legal process, procedures, and terminology.
  • Prepares documents and correspondence such as letters, electronic transmittals, and scheduling correspondence.
  • Prepare document comparisons (i.e., redlines) and analyze distinctions.
  • Maintains files, schedules meetings, makes travel arrangements, and submits expenses related to the same.
  • Strong organization and communication skills, and works collaboratively with colleagues.

Education/Training:

    • An Associate's degree is preferred
    • Paralegal Certification a plus 
    • Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
    • 1-3 years of relevant experience required
