The Warehouse Control Specialist ensures the efficient and accurate flow of goods through the warehouse by monitoring inventory systems, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining real-time data accuracy. This role is critical to maintaining operational continuity, minimizing delays, and supporting cross-functional teams in logistics, procurement, and distribution.

 

Schedule: Fulltime, Monday through Friday.

 

Compensation: Pay range $48k-$59k depending on experience

Responsibilities

Inventory & Systems Management

  • Monitor and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure real-time inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through cycle counts and audits.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for internal stakeholders.

Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely processing of inbound and outbound goods.
  • Track shipments and update systems with delivery confirmations and delays.
  • Communicate with carriers and vendors to resolve transportation issues.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify inefficiencies in warehouse workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Support implementation of new technologies or system upgrades.

Communication & Support

  • Serve as the liaison between warehouse operations and other departments (e.g., procurement, customer service).
  • Provide training and support to warehouse staff on system usage and inventory procedures.
  • Escalate system or operational issues to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse operations or inventory control required.
  • Experience with WMS or ERP systems preferred.
  • Valid drivers license.
