Overview

Founded in 1971, Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) remains the nation’s largest non-profit dialysis provider.  With a team of approximately 5,000 talented and caring employees serving across the United States, DCI provides care to nearly 15,000 patients on dialysis and 3,500 patients with chronic kidney disease.  We offer a variety of services including in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis (PD).  Each position within DCI, from billers to administrators to nursing staff, contributes toward the goal of providing excellent patient care.

  

The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative responsibilities to support the Area Operations Director.  This team member contributes to building a positive team and performs each task with professionalism and integrity.  Keys to succeed in this role are adaptability, responding promptly and accurately, flexibility, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of Lodging, Rental Car and Airfare for staff traveling (e.g. Annual Meeting, Medical Director Meeting, Equip. Tech Fresenius School)
  • Assist with the Per Diem Reimbursement for meetings, training, etc - calculation and back check of forms prior to submitting to AP
  • Assist with LAN Admin - IT equipment request forms, Trouble shoot equipment issues - repair or replace price comparison
  • Assist with HR & PR related forms 
  • Assist with Clinical monthly meeting reporting
  • Serves as the contact person for regional administrative personnel at other offices, clinics, or hospitals when Area Operations Director Director is unavailable
  • Provide general secretarial services as requested by Supervisor or Medical Director
  • Assist with coordinating and scheduling meetings for Area Operations Director
  • Ensures Contracts are current and within applicable guidelines for Medical Director, Lease/Sublease, Long-term Care Facility Agreements, Specific Single Patient Agreements
  • Ensures all Licensure and insurance certificates are current; including Department of Health, DEA, CLIA, ACORD - Certificate of Liability
  • Assist Area Operations Director and clinics with process of Health Care Provider Enrollment Applications and Renewals as needed
  • Assist with record retention and destruction; including patient charts, clinical documentation, water treatment, etc.
  • Attends meetings and performs meeting minute documentation and distribution
  • Provides communication to clinics in lieu of the Area Operations Director and document task completion
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all data and employee information as outlined in HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 years experience in Administrative duties; medical field preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Advanced Excel skills required.
