Certification as a Pharmacy Tech preferred.


The certified pharmacy technician for DCI Pharmacy will perform routine functions that require the use of professional judgment in connection with the receiving, preparing, compounding, distribution and dispensing of medications. He/She plays a supportive role under the direct supervision and responsibility of a pharmacist.


The following is a summary of what makes our team successful. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Maintenance of registration in good standing.
  • Assist in the handling, dispensing and keeping record  of medications and controlled substances in accordance with DCI Pharmacy P&P.
  • Assist in maintenance of pharmacy inventory in accordance with DCI Pharmacy P&P.
  • Possitive customer service skills, interacting with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and patients.
  • Assists in obtaining pharmacy benefits for patients, such as assistance programs, working with the biller and clinic social worker to ensure financial needs are addressed.
  • As part of the pharmacy team, ensures the pharmacy is kept in a clean and sanitary condition.


Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or completion of GED required. 
  • Previous experience as pharmacy technician not required, willing to train.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Tech highly desirable.
