    The Assistant Nurse Manager works in collaboration with the nurse manager to ensure optimal outcomes while overseeing the management of the dialysis facility.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborates with the management team to problem solve patient, staff and facility issues.
    • Communicates regularly with clinical staff regarding standards of care.
    • Monitors and assures compliance with corporate, local, state and federal requirements for dialysis facilities.
    • Participation in Quality Management and Risk Management meetings.
    • Oversees the review and evaluation of patient care in accordance with the local ESRD Network regulatory agencies, DCI’s continuous quality improvement (CQI) program and facility-specific requirements.

    • Monitors and coordinates the DCI QAPI and Risk Management Programs with the other members of the interdisciplinary team.

    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DCI policies and applicable laws, including training, planning, assigning, directing work, etc.
    • Acts as the facility’s nurse manager in the absence of the nurse manager.
    • Able to perform all routine and specialized nursing techniques required in a dialysis facility

    • Actively encourages and helps maintain open and free communication among staff, administration, physicians and patients.

    Qualifications

    • Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program 
    • 12 months' experience in clinical nursing 
    • 6 months experience in dialysis
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • Maintains a current license in the State of New York as a Registered Nurse
    • Maintains current CPR certification
